Cheryl Chow Cheryl Mayre Chow (May 24, 1946 – March 29, 2013) was an American educator and politician. Born in 1946 in Seattle, Washington, to restaurant owners Ping and Ruby Chow (later a King County councilwoman), Cheryl Chow graduated from Franklin High School and then attended Western Washington University. She was a teacher and principal in the Seattle school system and also coached girls' basketball for the city parks and recreation department.
